Why You Need to Be Careful Washing Your Horse During Winter

If you’re in a cold climate, you may be wondering whether or not you should wash your horse. It can definitely get tricky during those winter months and it's hard to know whether or not it’s worth it to wash your horse. How will the temperature affect the experience?

We highly recommend that, if you are in a colder area, not to wash your horse during the winter. The reason: there is a much higher risk that your horse will get sick. Unless you have some type of indoor heating in a barn or building that you are keeping your horse in, don’t worry about washing your horse.

So, what should you do? Brush and rebraid your horse's mane and tail every 7 days.

What products do you use for shampoo, conditioner and leave in condition? And what Detangler do you recommend?
